CHEROKEE OUTFITTERS was started in March of 1999, by Frank Sossamon.  Frank enjoyed hunting with his friends and decided to open a hunting and fishing store.  He had worked in construction and enjoyed riding horses so he added work and western clothes and boots in 2001. 

     Frank's daughter's now run the store for him, Jennifer and Vickie still carry all the same hunting and fishing supplies that he did.  They have however added more lines to the collection, as well as women's and children's clothes and boots.  Cherokee Outfiters now carries a wide variety of western and work clothes and boots by such names as Carhartt, Wrangler, Ariat, Rocky, Browning, Double H, Georgia, John Deere, and many more. 

     The store front is located at 507C Windslow Ave in Gaffney, SC store hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10-6.
